Broken Arrow Residents Collect Toys for Tots

Posted: Updated:

For 11 years, Broken Arrow resident Roberta Johnson and her husband have been putting on an elaborate display of Christmas lights.

For 9 of those years, they have been collecting toys from onlookers which they donate to Toys for Tots.

After Johnson started to get a lot of traffic by her home, she wanted to find a charity to help with all the people that were coming by. She chose Toys for Tots.

Johnson said that 11 years ago, they had only had 7,000 lights on display. This holiday season, they have approximately 60,000 lights and have collected close to 3,700 toys.

Johnson said she makes a point to wave at every car that goes by and is very appreciate of the community's generosity.
