A Dewey woman was taken into custody last week after reportedly being found naked and drunk in a field.
Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Officer arrested Shelly Williams and booked her on complaints of intoxication and outraging public decency on Dec. 20.
Williams was arrested after the deputies received word of a possible domestic in the area near Highway 75 and West 1400 Road. When they arrived they found her naked inside of an RV.
"Shelly appeared to be intoxicated," a deputy described in an affidavit. "She had slurred speech, was unsteady on her feet and rambled nonsense continuously."
Witnesses told the deputies that the evening's events began after Williams smoked marijuana. Both witnesses are her friends and attempted to get her back into the RV.
One of them was able to catch her and return her to the residence but only after she had reportedly pulled a water hose across the yard and knocked over a bird feed, the affidavit went on to describe.
Williams was asked by the deputies why she was running around naked and she responded, "I don't know, but it was funny wasn't it?"
She appeared before a Washington County judge later in the day. Court records indicate the Williams entered a guilty plea for both charges. But she pleaded not guilty to her third charge for obstructing an officer.
