Many schools were closed today, because of patchy ice and frigid temperatures. Now school leaders are looking ahead, to see how additional days will be made up.

There are five days built into Tulsa Public Schools calendar, to handle snow days. So far this school year there have been four days off including today.

Tulsa has just one more built in snow day. However, there are three other scheduled days off, including President's Day, that could be placed back on the calendar as make-up days.

"The cold is definitely a factor. We don't want to have kids out in this too long a time, so we feel like it was a good decision but i do know Dr. Ballard has said he does want to have kids back in school tomorrow so that is the plan," said Chris Payne, spokesperson for Tulsa Public Schools.
