An elderly woman died and two males were transported to the hospital after a north Tulsa house fire Monday evening.

Tulsa Fire Department responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. to the fire, which was located on the 1700 block of East 32nd Street North.

When crews arrived, one of the houses three occupants had been rescued by a neighbor.

The other two occupants were pulled out of the fire by TFD, but one was confirmed dead.

The two survivors were transported to Hillcrest Hospital.

Chad Meyer, TFD captain, praised the neighbor for his quick action in saving one of the occupants.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire but it is believed to have started in the home's garage.
