Homeowner, Cat Rescued from North Tulsa House Fire

A man and his cat are safe Wednesday morning after a house fire in north Tulsa.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 7:30 a.m. after receiving word of a smoke coming from the house from neighbors.

At the scene they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the bedroom window. Tulsa Fire Department crews were able to get the fire out quickly.

Officials stated that the homeowner was asleep at the time, smelled smoke and escaped outside. Inside crews were able to rescue a cat.

It is not known what caused the fire at this time. No injuries were reported at the scene.
