One man is dead Thursday morning after a fatal wreck northeast of Owasso.

Emergency paramedics were called to the area near 106th Street North and 161st East Avenue before 5 a.m. after receiving word that a man, later identified as Clark Van Pelt, was possibly ejected from his vehicle.

At the scene officials discovered that Van Pelt had been driving a four-door Lexus when he slid and lost control of the vehicle crashing through a fence and then into a tree. He was killed on impact.

Crews with the Owasso Fire Department removed him from the vehicle. Van Pelt is an 24-year-old Owasso resident.

Owasso Police added that the winter weather was definitely a cause for this wreck. And want to remind area drivers to remain cautious.
