Man Faces Murder Charges After Fatal New Year's Day Wreck

Posted: Updated:

Formal charges were filed against a man this week for his part in a fatal hit and run wreck earlier this month.

William Bauders faces charges ranging from second degree murder and leaving the scene of a fatal collision Friday. He was arrested days after a fatal wreck that killed Michelle Bradshaw on Jan. 1.

Previous reports from KTUL stated that Bauders had been attempting to steal a trailer in a stolen truck when he became scared and quickly left the scene. Moments later investigators state he crashed into Bradshaw's car and killed her.

"Ultimately, he [Bauders] admitted to being the driver of that vehicle, and that he was fleeing because he had attempted to steal a trailer," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.

A court appearance has not been schedule for Bauders at this time.
