Tulsa Police are searching for multiple suspects after an armed robbery followed by a shooting this evening near 51st and Lewis.
Initially, an armed robbery was reported at Lewiston Apartments. Shots were fired but no one was hurt.
Then the suspects fled the scene, ending up at 2112 E 52nd Street where there was another attempted robbery.
At least one of the suspects allegedly approached a man working on his car in his garage and demanded his wallet.
The man retreated but was then shot by the suspect in the torso. He was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and his condition is not yet known.
One of the suspects was described as a black male about 5'9" and 135 pounds with short black hair. He is believed to be wearing jeans, a black hoodie and a backpack. The other was described as a Hispanic male with camo shorts, according to police sergeant Mark Mackenzie.
The suspects fled on foot and there are helicopters in the 51st and Lewis area. There is an active manhunt and K-9's trying to track the suspects.
