The City of Tulsa is cracking down on residents who park on grass, even if is your own front yard.
Some residents are not happy about this. We met up with neighborhood enforcement agents on their way to give a citation.
Citizens cannot park on the lawn, unless their is an all weather, continuous surface, underneath the vehicle. A violation can mean a $60 ticket.
The goal is to protect the value of your property and the community.
"It sacrifices the yard. It detracts from property values for other neighbors and doesn't make for safe conditions like in this case you can see the tire tracks they've been parking over the sidewalks, obstructing the entire sidewalk," said Tim Cartner, as he pointed out the issues with one yard.
If you have questions or would like to report an issue, call the Mayor's Action Line.. 918-596-2100.
