A Tulsa man was taken into custody Thursday morning for his part in beer thefts that have been happening at area convenience stores.

Deputies with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office arrested James Davis on eleven complaints of larceny from a retailer. He was booked after deputies stated he had stolen beer from QuikTrips in Tulsa.

Booking information states that Davis entered several stores, grabbed beer and walked past the register without paying for the products. He reportedly took an approximate $840 in beer.

Major Shannon Clark told KTUL that the "beer runs" have been happening at area QuikTrips. Davis is just one of several suspects involved in the crime.

Deputies were not able to release the names of the others involved in the crime at this time. But a briefing is being held by the TCSO this afternoon on the incidents.
