Man Taken into Custody After Shooting Another at Motel

Police have located and arrested a man suspected of firing a shotgun pellet at an east Tulsa motel.

Tulsa Police placed Michael Antione Hill under arrest Wednesday afternoon after he was located at an area QuikTrip. He was booked for shooting with intent to kill.

Detectives with TPD's Homicide Unit worked to locate Hill after a he shot an man who had been staying in the room below him at the Best Value Inn. That man reportedly told Hill and his girlfriend, Ashley Chaplin, to quiet down during an argument they were having.

It was after he reportedly told the couple to quiet down that Hill reportedly fired the shotgun and hit him in the nose. He was not seriously hurt or transported to the hospital.

Police also arrested Chaplin in the room above the victim's. When Hill was located at the QuikTrip police discovered he was with a wanted man, identified as Justin Baden, who was also arrested.
