Muskogee authorities have arrested a man Thursday morning after a man was found dead inside a home.

Officials stated that police were notified of the homicide just before midnight in the 200 block of E. Hancock from neighbors that heard gun fire in the area.

Upon their arrival they discovered Richard Kosterlizky dead inside the home from a shotgun wound. According to a statement from MPD, Justin Capps was inside the home at the time police responded and was taken into custody.

Police believe that the two men had been arguing at the time about an ongoing dispute. It later escalated into the shooting.

Kosterlizky was reportedly at the home visiting his girlfriend who is the homeowner.

Capps was taken into custody on first degree murder.
