Flu to Blame for Eight New Deaths Across Oklahoma

One more death was reported in Tulsa County after state health officials released their weekly numbers.

Officials with the Oklahoma State Department of Health stated that a total of 8 new deaths have been reported across the state. Tulsa County has the most with a total of four.

According to department's website, there have been 575 hospitalizations and 20 deaths since the flu season began in September. Tulsa County also ranks the highest with the most hospitalizations.

THD currently has flu vaccine available for over the age of six months on a walk-in basis Mondays through Thursdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the following Tulsa Health Department locations.

   Central Regional Health Center located at 315 S. Utica, Tulsa, OK

   North Regional Health and Wellness Center located at 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tulsa, OK
