Broken Arrow Public Schools are one school district that will be participating in an online "Readiness Test" tomorrow aimed at determining whether the school is prepared or this year's state tests.
According to Jerrod Mendenhall, superintendent of Broken Arrow schools, the school was ordered last week by the State Department of Education that it must participate in the test or its certifications and funding may be threatened.
"Anytime you strong-arm someone into doing something, you don't feel too good about it," Mendenhall said.
Mendenhall was also frustrated by the way the tests are taking away regular class instructional time.
"For us, it's pretty frustrating to have to pull that many students and staff members to go through a process like this," Mendenhall said.
Mendenhall said that hundreds of kids will participate tomorrow.
