Fatality Collision Reported in Seminole County

A fatality collision was reported this morning one mile south of Bowlegs in Seminole County.

A vehicle going southbound on US-377 attempted to pass another vehicle on the left, but lost control, entered a slide and struck a vehicle that was going northbound on US-377, according to a report from the Department of Public Safety.

The driver of the vehicle going northbound was 55-year-old Daniel Dillon of Konawa. He was pinned for approximately an hour and 15 minutes and was pronounced dead on scene from multiple injuries.

The driver of the vehicle attempting the pass, Theodore Stankiewicz, 20, was transported to Seminole Hospital and released.

A third car was involved but no one in that vehicle was injured.
