Teen Taken into Custody for Multiple Sexual Assaults in Tulsa

Posted: Updated:

A 16-year-old boy is in custody Thursday believed to have been a suspect in multiple sexual assaults in the Tulsa area.

Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department told KTUL that the 16-year-old is believed to be the individual behind four sexual assault incidents dating back to November. He's now being held on multiple complaints of sexual assault and forcible oral sodomy.

According to a statement from TPD, he reportedly assaulted an 18-year-old Union student behind a shopping complex near 71st and Mingo last Thursday. She had been walking to school that morning.

Investigators added that the suspect is also behind separate incidents that took place at the Agora Coffee Shop and at two apartment complexes in November and December of 2013.

Officers with the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force were able to locate the suspect Thursday at a south Tulsa apartment complex. He reportedly ran from officers, but was caught after a brief foot chase, according to TPD's release.

Williams was transported to the Detective Division and booked for the crimes.
