Tulsa Man Found Guilty in Connection with 2012 Murder

Deandre Bethel was was found guilty on four counts by a jury early Saturday morning including first degree murder in relation to Feb. 4, 2012 attempted robbery and killing of Byron Ivory in Tulsa.

Bethel's recommended sentence, according to the spokesperson of the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office, is life plus five years, five months and 30 days.

Another suspect in the case, DeAndre Williams, will go on trial on Monday. Williams is also believed to have shot and killed Ivory and faces charges of first degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

Both men were arrested shortly after the date of the murder.
