Owasso Woman Arrested after Juveniles Found Intoxicated

Posted: Updated:

An Owasso woman was arrested yesterday after multiple juveniles were allegedly found intoxicated inside her home.

Owasso police received a notice from a father of one of the juvenile's involved who said that his son was staying at a friend's house and would not answer his phone.

The father went to go pick up his son and the homeowner, Melissa Watson, came to door unable to recognize the father, according to the police report.

The father heard screaming from inside, noticed the house reeked of marijuana and alcohol and then grabbed and removed his son from the home.

The son told Owasso police that he was forced up against a wall, repeatedly punched and forced to smoke a pipe.

The suspect, Watson, reportedly said "if you don't smoke it I will slit your throat."

Officers arrived on scene of the incident.

Watson appeared at the door intoxicated according to the report and said there were ten juveniles in the home, seven of which did not live there.

She then reportedly gave permission to officers to "come in and look."

Officers found seven occupants inside who admitted to smoking marijuana and consuming alcohol. All of those occupants were determined to be intoxicated.

The homeowner consented to a search of her residence and officers then found multiple smoking devices and bags of marijuana.

According to the police report, the odor of marijuana was "overwhelming" and there were also multiple opened beer containers.

Watson's children were released to her sister after DHS's approval.

Watson was booked on complaints of six counts of child endangerment, eight counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
