City Begins Car-Booting after Parking Ticket Amnesty

Today the City has begun booting the cars of owner's who have not paid parking tickets.

The City reportedly received a list of nuisance vehicles with outstanding parking tickets. Four vehicles were booted before noon today.

This search for nuisance vehicles comes after a three-week amnesty that allowed owners to pay outstanding parking tickets without paying court costs and late fees.

Owners will have to pay fines, late fees and court costs on the second floor of Tulsa Municipal Courts or their vehicles may be towed and impounded until paid.

The City reported that approximately 680 outstanding parking tickets were paid for during the amnesty period, bringing in $14,085 to the City.
