Skiatook Double Murder Suspect Faces Charges in Tulsa, Osage County

Posted: Updated:

A Skiatook man accused of killing two of his family members in January is now facing charges in two counties.

Prosecutors filed charges against Michael Stanley in Tulsa County on Tuesday. He faces one count of first degree murder for reportedly killing 74-year-old Ester Driskell at her Skiatook residence.

KTUL obtained an affidavit that detailed an interview the Tulsa authorities had with Stanley. He reportedly told them that before stabbing Driskell she had been on him about "things" and asked him to "do the dishes."

Court records indicate that Stanley had already been charged in Osage County for deliberate first degree murder. That was after his half-sister Larissa Fraley was found dead near Skiatook Lake.

Stanley told officers that Fraley wanted to call the police. She allegedly told him that "he could not keep her with him forever."

Previous reports from KTUL state that both Driskell and Fraley were found stabbed to death. Their bodies were discovered within a day of each other.

Stanley was taken into custody in north Tulsa. He was transferred and being held in the Osage County Jail.
