Tulsa Police now have two people in custody for the March 2013 murder of a Tulsa man.

55-year-old Robert Sampson was reported missing on March 6, 2013. Police searched his residence at 4510 W. 5th Street and found it in disarray. Investigators said that a violent struggle led to Sampson's death. Two people were identified early in the investigation as suspects.

According to Tulsa Police Homicide detectives, confirmation of DNA evidence confirmed that the suspects listed during the initial investigation were the correct suspects.

Edward John Vanwoudenberg, 57, was already in custody, but first-degree murder was added to his charges. 52-year-old Christina Vanwoudenberg was arrested in Sapulpa this afternoon for first-degree murder.

Tulsa Police continuously work on old murder cases and ask that anyone with information on previous murders to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-2677, the homicide tip line at 918-798-8477 or email homicide@cityoftulsa.org.
