Free CPR Training Session Today for City Workers

Posted: Updated:

Today the Tulsa Fire Department offered free CPR training today to City of Tulsa workers interested in learning the skill.

The training session comes after Mayor Dewey Bartlett recently performed CPR on a man at Naples Flatbread and Wine Bar.

"I think it is very important that all Tulsans realize the importance of this life-saving skill and take advantage of the great training available at the Red Cross," Bartlett said.

"I'm thankful the Tulsa Fire Dept. has graciously offered to provide CPR training to our City employees in case an unforeseen incident occurs at the work place or even at home," Bartlett said.

Bartlett will receive a Certificate of Merit from the American Red Cross on Feb. 21 for his potentially life-saving actions.
