High Winds Fuel Fire Danger

Posted: Updated:

High winds are fueling the fire danger across Oklahoma.

A few overnight showers and storms did little to help dry conditions across the state.

For the rest of the day, skies will clear out and temperatures will fall into the 50s and 40s by the afternoon as a front moves through

Behind the front, the wind is going to become very strong with gusts over 40 mph.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Green Country until 3pm. The wind and dry air will create fire danger concerns across the region the rest of the week.
