Washington County Crews Battle Grass and Structure Fire

Fire crews are battling a grass and structure fire in southern Washington County.

The call went out around 7:50 p.m., when the Ramona Fire Department requested mutual aid from Vera, Washington County, Northwest Rogers County and Collinsville fire departments, according to Carry Cox, Washington County Emergency Manager.

The fire is located on W 3900 Road between N 4030 Road And N 4040 Road.

Washington County Fire Department officials say the wind was blowing the fire from the grassfire toward the vacant home.

An estimated 10 to 20 acres of land burned with multiple fire departments responding to the scene. 

No injuries have been reported and the cause is still be determined.
