Seven Earthquakes Rattle Oklahoma

Seven earthquakes were reported in Oklahoma from Saturday to early Sunday.

The first was a 2.1 magnitude earthquake shortly after midnight on Saturday. It occurred one mile southwest of Stillwater.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 and depth of three miles struck one mile southwest of Langston at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Saturday.

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was reported seven miles southeast of Luther and 12 miles northeast of Choctaw at 10:21 p.m. It had a depth of about 5 miles.

At 2:51 a.m. Sunday morning, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake hit one mile east of Choctaw. Then at 6:15 a.m., a 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck directly in Choctaw with a depth of 4.3 miles.

10 miles south of McCord, a 2.8 magnitude earthquake was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey at 8:44 a.m. Sunday morning.

A little more than 10 minutes later, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit 13 miles south of McCord and 14 miles south of Ponca City. It had a depth of 1.2 miles.
