Some Barnsdall Residents Without Water

Posted: Updated:

Some citizens are without water in Barnsdall due to a leak in a pipe shipping water to the town.

Kathy Brown, the water plant operator in Barnsdall said the problem has been going on since yesterday and will take at least 48 additional hours to fix.

Brown said that when she went into the plant Monday morning, the floor was covered with water running out through a door and into her office.

Authorities have isolated the leak, but are having to dig by hand down through concrete to try to locate the exact location of the leak.

Barnsdall is under a voluntary precautionary boil advisory as of this morning until further notice.
