Grand River Dam Authority Works to Clean up Grand Lake

Posted: Updated:

Crews with the Grand River Dam Authority are working to cleanup Grand Lake and its shores with boat season approaching.

Starting today and ending April 5, authorities will work to do some spring cleaning when it comes to dock foam and shoreline debris. Authorities ask citizens in the area to do the same so the lake can look its most beautiful.

Debris and dock foam can be dropped off at one of the collection sites in the area. A list of those sites can be found at www.grda.com

GRDA crews are not referencing household trash, merely dock foam and shoreline debris which sits on the 46,500 square-foot lake.

Here is a list of drop-off locations for shoreline debris and dock foam:

Clearwater Bay Marina parking lot - Rapier Hollow - east of Disney

Discount Docks - back end of Duck Creek near Grand Lake RV Resort - Cleora

GRDA Hangar boat ramp parking lot - near Red Arrow Marina - Cleora

Hammerhead West Marina - south of Ketchum

Red 11 Marina parking lot - east of Sailboat Bridge - Grove

Monkey Island boat ramp - west of Shangri-La Marina

City of Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant - North Cherokee Street in Grove
