A building filled with chemicals caught fire near Mingo and 47th Pl., this evening.
According to officials at the scene, Sabre Chemicals houses various chemicals including gas, thinners and industrial oil. The fire is now under control, but firefighters are continuing to spray it with water.
Officials say much of the metal building melted due to the extreme heat.
Explosions could be heard by crews on site, but the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The business owner says everyone is accounted for, but one worker was treated for a minor burn.
Firefighters warn people in the area to avoid the smoke because of the chemicals involved in the fire.
