Waterline Rehabilitation Project to Affect 61st and Sheridan Intersection

Posted: Updated:

Residents near 61st Street between Mingo and Sheridan should take caution before driving into the area.

This is due to city crews continuing their work on a waterline rehabilitation project on East 61st Street between Mingo and Sheridan. Lane closures will affect the intersection beginning Monday.

Northbound traffic along Sheridan will be down to one lane. Drivers in that lane will be unable to turn east or west on 61st.

Southbound traffic will not experience any changes.

The city reports that lane closures will likely last until May 12th. The waterline project will last through early June.
