It's always nice to have a few non-severe showers and thunderstorms this time of year in Oklahoma.
That's what we're seeing as we begin this week-- but it won't be the case for the end of the week. After clearing out nicely Tuesday and Wednesday, chances of storms return to the area late Thursday through most of the weekend.
The graphic here shows possible severe weather as early as Wednesday just to the west of Green Country. It's a pretty complicated forecast; several of the computer models we look at are very inconsistent in their thinking on the position of the front sweeping through the area Saturday and Sunday.
Those days- the heart of the weekend- will be the most watched, as a dryline sets itself up just to the west of us Saturday morning. Timing is still an issue (as it always is this far out), but I'd be prepared for at least some strong storms Saturday and Sunday of this coming weekend. \
Of course, we'll be watching throughout the week on KTUL, and bring you the very latest here, on TV and on social media!
