Two Dead after Rogers Co. Wreck

A Nowata man and woman are dead after the vehicle they were in struck a tree off of U.S. 169 around 9 a.m. Friday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the vehicle was traveling southbound on U.S. 169 in Rogers County when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and then struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 1999 Ford F-150, Glenn Warren, 74, was pronounced dead on scene.

The passenger, 72-year-old Barbara Warren, was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition with internal injuries. She was pronounced dead at Saint Francis around midnight Saturday.

The OHP report says the driver was not wearing a seat belt but the passenger was.
