Earthquake Trend Continues in Central Oklahoma

Five earthquakes have been reported by the United States Geological Survey since Saturday evening in the central Oklahoma area.

The earthquakes ranged from 2.5 to 3.0 in magnitude. The first one, a magnitude 2.8, was reported at about 7:22 p.m. Saturday six miles north of Crescent and 14 miles northwest of Guthrie.

The biggest earthquake of the bunch, a magnitude 3.0, came next. It was felt at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday one mile southeast of Perry and 15 miles southeast of Stillwater.

Two 2.5 magnitude earthquakes struck Oklahoma Sunday morning. The first came at 4:46 a.m. 14 miles northeast of Cherokee and the second was reported one mile southeast of Perry at 7:10 a.m.

Another 2.8 quake rattled three miles northeast of Langston and 11 miles southwest of Stillwater at 10:46 a.m. Sunday. That earthquake had a depth of 4.3 miles.
