Two Contract Workers Killed in Roll Over Wreck Identified

Posted: Updated:

Two contract workers were killed Monday morning after being hit by a vehicle in southwest Tulsa.

Both men were identified as Michael Turner and Ronnie Blagg. Officials with the City of Tulsa confirmed Monday afternoon that both died from the injuries they sustained in the accident.

Emergency paramedics were notified of the wreck incident after receiving word that a vehicle had hit them after it rolled over near 71st Street and Elwood. An adult and a juvenile were in the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

"The city inspector had just walked off and heard a loud crash. He turned around and saw a vehicle had just left the roadway and struck two contractors who were on foot outside their vehicle. One worker was pinned between the vehicles and the other one was thrown several feet into the street," Sergeant Lance Eberle said.

Police are continuing their investigation into the crash. It is unknown at this time if the driver will face any charges.
