Officers Bust Man for Tulsa Drug Operation

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa authorities seized more than 20 pounds of marijuana from multiple residences earlier this month.

Officers placed Austin Hingey under arrest for possession of marijuana with intent and receiving drug proceeds derived from illegal activity. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail after the Organized Gang Unit served multiple search warrants on May 1.

Tulsa Police served the warrants in the areas near the 300 block of S. Trenton Ave., 200 block of S. Richmond Ave and a separate storage facility. In their investigation, the OGU focused their operation on Hingey and the residences.

"As a result of these warrants, officers recovered approximately 22 pounds of high grade marijuana, one and a half pounds of psychedelic mushrooms and $332,700.00 in cash," TPD described.

A narcotics officer and a K-9 officer aided in the investigation.

Hingey has not been scheduled to appear in court at this time.
