Tulsa Sheriff's Report Scam Artist Posing as Deputies

Tulsa County Sheriff's Office are advising area residents of a scam artist posing as deputies.

According to the sheriff's office, a scam artist has been contacting random individuals as "Deputy Tim Albin, Sergeant John Stone and Investigator Mark Tillman."

The suspect tells the victims that they have an arrest warrant issued and can avoid being arrested if they purchase a Green Dot Card for varying amounts of money.

Witnesses told the sheriff's office the men act professional and are convincing. According to the sheriff's office, most of the names and ranks are fictitious and not employees.

Incidents like this have been reported since early April.

Any individuals who receive calls from these men or have given money to the suspects, call the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office detective division at 918-596-8661.
