Thirty Suspects Arrested in Large Enid Drug Trafficking Operation

Posted: Updated:

A drug trafficking investigation in Garfield County netted 30 individuals for their alleged criminal roles Thursday morning.

Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics arrived before sunrise Thursday in Enid to end the eight month investigation. Three search warrants and 34 arrest warrants were granted prior to the operation.

"This group of defendants would import significant quantities of crystal methamphetamine or 'ICE', heroin, marijuana and prescription drugs into the Enid area to supply local dealers and users," OBN spokesperson Mark Woodward stated.

Woodward added that the drug trafficking ring would transport as much as two pounds weekly of crystal meth and several ounces of heroin into Enid and the northwest Oklahoma area.

"This horrible substance ruins lives daily in Oklahoma and is no respector of persons," OBN Director Darrell Weaver stated. "We must keep vigilant in our pursuit of the individuals who are bent on supplying meth to our citizens and making profit on their pain."

OBN agents were assisted in the operation by the Enid Police Department. All suspects were transported to the Garfield County Jail.

Additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
