Suspect Arrested after Allegedly Telling Woman to Give Up Vehicle

Posted: Updated:

A suspect is in custody after allegedly telling a woman she had to give him her car outside of Dollar General.

The victim exited the Dollar General near 11827 North 113th East Avenue when she saw a man sitting by her 2013 Mercedes C2U.

The suspect, Bradford Wheeler, 37, reportedly told the victim "I'm going to have to take your car."

The victim gave up her keys out of fear and went back inside Dollar General to call 911, the report states. The suspect reportedly never started the vehicle, but did enter it. The suspect had fled the scene when Tulsa county deputies arrived, but was located nearby.

Wheeler was booked on complaints of first-degree robbery by force or fear and is being held on $50,000 bond.
