Search crews recovered the body of a missing Sand Springs woman late Monday evening after she was reported missing in Lake Hudson.
Officials with the Grand River Dam Authority announced Tuesday morning that Kari Ogden's body had been recovered around 11 p.m. The lake is east of Tulsa in Mayes County.
"Storms on Monday afternoon and evening had temporarily forced the officers off of the water," a release from the GRDA stated. Search crews were able to return in the evening and locate the body.
Previous reports from KTUL state that Ogden reportedly jumped into the lake to swim and the boat moved away from her. 911 and the Salina Fire Department was called on scene to assist in the search.
