Judge Denies Bond Reduction for Pastor Accused of Child Molestation

A Tulsa pastor charged with multiple counts of child molestation appeared in a Tulsa courtroom Friday afternoon.

Police arrested Damien Bonner this week after allegations surfaced he had been carrying on an inappropriate relationship with a minor girl. Prosecutors filed six counts of child molestation at the Tulsa County Courthouse on Wednesday.

Court records indicate that Bonner was scheduled to appear in court for a bond reduction hearing. His reduction was denied by the judge presiding over his case.

Bonner is currently being held in custody on $300,000 bond.

Previous reports frmo KTUL state that the girl told police in April she had been sexually abused by a man she met at church. The girl identified the man as Bonner.

He is the pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Tulsa, police say.
