Wagoner County Deputies Investigating Fire at Porter Home
Deputies in Wagoner County are investigating after two fires broke out Tuesday afternoon in Porter.
Officials with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office stated that firefighters were called out to a house fire in the 22500 block of S 365th East Avenue. It was there that they found the residence fully engulfed in flames.
KTUL learned Tuesday afternoon that the WCSO is investigating the fire as arson. "Foul play is suspected as two dogs and one horse was found deceased at the residence and appeared to have been shot," a statement added.
Multiple fire departments responded to the area to help battle the blaze, including the Porter and Tallahassee Fire Departments.
Investigators are canvassing the area for more information and questioning witnesses. No other information was provided about the fire.
Earlier in the fire a building near downtown Porter caught on fire. But officials do not believe both fires are related.
