Suspect Shot to Death in Porum after Alleged Attempted Vehicle Theft

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a homicide near Porum on Sunday.

Muskogee County Sheriff's said a suspect entered a man's vehicle and demanded the man's keys at gunpoint. The vehicle owner then reportedly went inside to get the keys, got a shotgun, and shot the suspect to death.

The victim was identified as Jesse Lee Taylor, 24. He died at a Tulsa hospital.

The shooter was identified as James Hines. He was not injured.
