Arson is suspected in a fire that left a Porter residence severely damaged Tuesday morning.
Deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office were notified that a residence in the 22500 block of S 365th E Ave was fully engulfed in flames.
"And I told my grandson I think that's a house burning." Porter resident JR Coleman told KTUL. "That thing was fully engulfed when we pulled up the fire coming out all the windows around the eves and the vents on the end of the house."
But a closer look would reveal that this was no ordinary house fire. Officials with the WCSO stated that the state fire marshal is now investigating the incident as arson.
"Foul play is suspected as two dogs and one horse was found deceased at the residence and appeared to have been shot," a release described.
An autopsy will be done on the animals as investigators build their case against who deliberately set fire to this home.
This was one of two fires firefighters had to contend with Tuesday morning. They seemed to happen almost back to back.
