Officers placed a Claremore resident under arrest this week for his reported role in the 2004 death of a Louisiana man.

Agents with the U.S. Marshal's Task Force located 60-year-old Jake Robinson and transported him to the Rogers County Jail. He was taken into custody on a secret grand jury indictment bench warrant for the murder of 51-year-old Bruce Cotton.

A report from the Associated Press states that two boys fishing in 2004, found Cotton's car pulled to the shoulder of a Louisiana road with his body inside. Cotton's family had reported him missing two days earlier.

Louisiana detectives have been following leads for 10 years. Last year, publicity about the case generated new witnesses leading them to Robinson, who is awaiting extradition to Louisiana.

It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
