Child Killed in Multi-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 169

Paramedics confirmed that a child is dead Thursday morning after an injury wreck on Highway 169 near Owasso.

Emergency crews responded to the wreck around 7 a.m. near Highway 169 and 76th Street North. Owasso Fire Department and Police Department were sent to the scene.

KTUL learned that the wreck involved four vehicles. But no information was given on how the cars wrecked.

Emergency crews stated that a female child was pronounced dead. Several other people were transported to an area hospital, including another child and adult in critical condition.

Traffic was rerouted from the scene during the cleanup process. All southbound lanes of Highway 169 are back open.
