A Look At Your Memorial Weekend Forecast

Posted: Updated:

Well here we are- approaching a holiday weekend after much drought and wouldn't you know it-- there's a chance of rain! Now don't panic- I wouldn't cancel you lake, boat, golf or BBQ plans just yet (I'm not!) but definitely have a plan to get inside quickly at times, especially Sunday and Monday, when the showers and storms become a bit more numerous.

A very slow moving upper-level low is moving in from the West. This will knock our dry spell out, and allow a few showers and sprinkles to develop as early as Friday afternoon. It will not rain everywhere everyday this weekend, but keep that umbrella close by.

Sunday and Monday, this low has a stronger pull on our forecast, with showers and scattered storms (some strong) moving in. Tuesday also looks impressive. At this point, we're just about 9" below where we should be for rain, so this moisture is welcomed.

Of course, stay tuned and we'll keep you up to date on the important Memorial Day forecast. As you head out- remember to download the KTULWX weather app and follow the radar along with us as well. Be safe!
