Longhorns Shutout Cowboys In Big 12 Tourney

Posted: Updated:
The Oklahoma State baseball team was hoping to stay in the winners bracket of the Big 12 Baseball Tournament in Oklahoma City.  The Cowboys were taking on the Texas Longhorns in the final game of the night on day 2.

The Horns get on the board first when Kacy Clemens hit an RBI single in the second to give Texas a 1-0 lead.  The score would stay that way until the eighth when UT added a couple of insurance runs.

OSU got a good performance on the mound from Jon Perrin.  He pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up only one run on five hits and struck out four.

Texas beats the 7th-ranked Cowboys 3-0.

Oklahoma State will face Oklahoma for the seventh time this season Friday at 7:00pm.
