Health Care Operators Charged with Fraud

Two operators of Central Oklahoma Behavioral Health Services have been charged with five counts of Medicaid fraud, among other charges.

John Michael Doneti, 50, and Angelique Marie Williamson, 39, both of Choctaw, reportedly billed more than $289,000 worth of fraudulent claims to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.

Doneti is a licensed professional counselor while Williams is a health rehabilitation specialist at COBHS.

Doneti reportedly claimed he was working more than 24 hours in one day and would bill false claims under another employee's identity. WIlliamson handled financial matters and allegedly fraudulently dispensed money to herself and Doneti through a joint bank account.

The additional charges include identity theft, conspiracy to commit Medicaid fraud, engaging in transactions involving unlawful proceeds and conspiracy to engage in transactions involving unlawful proceeds.

Doneti could face 50 years in prison and fines up to $1.5 million if convicted while Williamson faces up to 33 years in prison and fines up $339,000 if convicted.
