Police Arrest Alleged Knife-Wielding Tulsan

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa police officers arrested a knife-wielding man late Saturday night after he allegedly kicked down the door of his ex-wife's home.

His ex-wife told police the suspect, Randal McHenry, kicked down the door of the home and was holding a knife.

When TPD officers arrived on scene, the woman and her children fled the residence, the police report states.

Officers found the suspect in the garage in the home. McHenry was holding multiple knives and reportedly threw one of the knives at an officer. The suspect allegedly refused officers orders, and continued to hold one of the knives above his head, threatening officers.

Eventually the suspect barricaded himself inside the home and after a "lengthy" standoff, was taken into custody.

Police found the victim's flat-screen television to have been damaged by the suspect while he was in the residence.

McHenry was booked for first degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer and violation of a protective order. He is being held on $31,000 bond.
