A Broken Arrow teen accused of hitting a student athlete with his vehicle is scheduled to return to court Tuesday morning for a hearing.

Nineteen-year-old Jordan Hunter was charged with leaving the scene of a collision earlier this year. Prosecutors allege that he is the driver of the vehicle that struck Logan Henry who had been running near the South Intermediate High School in Broken Arrow.

Records indicate that Hunter is due in a Tulsa County courtroom for arraignment. It is believed that a judge will decide whether or not he will stand trial for the charges against him.

Previous reports from KTUL state that after Hunter struck Henry he returned to the scene, telling police he was the one responsible. BAPD said Hunter reportedly told his mother what happened and she followed him back to the scene of the accident.

Henry has been recovering from his injuries, including a broken pelvis and leg.
