Authorities in Atoka County have located an inmate that escaped a correctional facility late Monday evening.

Officials with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections stated that 28-year-old Robert Jackson was captured Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Jackson was being held at the Mac Alford Correctional Center when he escaped the facility located in Stringtown. The facility is a minimum security prison that houses male offenders, according to the Associated Press.

Records indicate that Jackson's previous offenses were second degree burglary and concealing stolen property. He also was being held on a charge for eluding an officer.

Search crews were assisted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and local area enforcement.
